Madeleine Powell
I qualified as a Play Therapist in 2018. I am also a Creative Arts Counsellor for Children and Young People and a Clinical Supervisor.
Prior to training as a play therapist I was a qualified teacher working in primary schools. I came across many children who needed extra support to help them fulfil their potential in life.
Seeing the positive changes in children who had attended play therapy sessions was both inspiring and intriguing and led me to train as a play therapist and set up Shine With Play. I believe that every child has within them the potential to shine and that play and creative arts therapy can help them to achieve that.
Play Therapy UK
The UK Society for Play and Creative Arts Therapies is designed for anyone interested in helping children with emotional literacy, behaviour or mental health problems. I am an Accredited Member of Play Therapy UK and I am on their Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists.
Professional Standards Authority
The PTUK register has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
